The crappy thing about this blog is that you never get to talk about the players. There are no trades to discuss, no coach’s moves to lambaste.
Hopefully, a New York franchise will be announced soon, so we can start doing the fun parts of being a fan. Until then I put up a new poll to decide who we want to see as the “Face” of a NYC FC. If you would like to vote, you can find the poll on the left sidebar.
I tried to pick a diverse group of soccer players. If you want to see Kaka, Messi, Ronaldo or someone else use the “Other” option and I’ll report those when the poll is closed.
For those that need to do some scouting first, here are some videos and Wikipedia links (in alphabetical order):
Clint Dempsey: Arguably America’s Best Player
Thierry Henry: The Next Top Footballer Moving to the MLS?
Wayne Rooney: The English Bulldog
Ronaldinho: Two-Time FIFA Player of the Year
Cristiano Ronaldo: The World’s Next Great Player

If Garber puts the NYCFC in MLS in 2010,I think that Ronaldo or Henry should be the best solution .
I would be happy with either if they are healthy!
Ronaldo of the Milan, of course, because Cristiano Ronaldo of the Man United will stay in England for the next 10 years !!
Ronaldo (Brazilian) is probably the most likely. Henry is the best choice of a superstar…but that will need more money. Not as likely as Ronaldo, but more likely than Ronaldinho, C. Ronaldo, and Wayne Rooney.
