Does anyone have a copy of this month’s 90:00 Soccer Magazine? They have the following article:
MLS Expansion
MLS is looking to expand to 16 teams by 2010. We narrow the field down to three deserving cities with an old school knockout tournament.
I would like to read it, but it is not online. Can someone share a brief summary? Contact me or leave me a comment if you can help.

I don’t realize !! MLS will be choose the 16th team ( Seattle or Philly ) the next month for MLS 2009 and instead somebody writes that will there be 16 teams in 2010 !!!
I am sure that in 2010 there will be 18 teams in MLS and that 18th team will be NYCFC !!!
Am I right ?
No one knows if it’ll be 2010 or 2011 for teams 17 & 18… the league has always left it open.
A New York FC is a definite “no” until at least 2010 because of the Red Bulls and their area rights.
Until the Philly-St Louis situation plays out it is hard to tell when the next round of MLS expansion will be announced.
